Sims 4 (game time demo) freezing when I moved the cursor.

I recently purchased the game in the hopes this might have fixed the problem, but I'm still having the same issue.

Is there anyone who can help since I've spent a lot of time trying to fix this game and so far haven't had any luck? My mouse itself is not the issue, I know that much since the cursor will continue to move across the screen even when the game has frozen. But Since the mouse is the pretty much the only way to control the game, I'd really like to get this problem fixed. 😕mileysad:
