Sims 4 Initialization Error

Hey, so I played sims earlier today with no issues, I remember getting off for a couple hours then getting back on again in the same day. before I tried loading into my game I did download a few animations and putting those into my mods folder and then I tried loading into my game it would freeze during process and crash leading to this error popping up “Initialization error at start up [135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b26003]”. so I tried deleted the files I had just download and I even tried deleting mod and cc conflicts, deleting cache files as well. Mind you I never saw this error before so I was really confused please help me. yes I do use mods if needed I can list them down. It’s just crazy because I was just playing the game I didn’t think putting those animations in my game would do that and I put animation in all the time. Please help! ;(( Is there any way I could fix this without deleting my saves or tray importer?

  • sorry for the bad grammar I rephrased it! “Hey, so I played sims earlier today with no issues, I remember getting off for a couple hours then getting back on again in the same day. before I tried loading into my game I did download a few animations and putting those into my mods folder and then I tried loading into my game it would freeze during the process and then crash leading to this error popping up “Initialization error at start up [135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b26003]”. so I tried deleting the files I had just download and I even tried deleting some mod and cc conflicts and deleting cache files as well. • Cookiesarejuicy  This error is typically antivirus-related, so please set exceptions in your antivirus for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64, or the Bin folder they're in.  Set an exception for EADesktop.exe too while you're there.

You may also need to repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair).

If this doesn't help, please try the suggestions in the first post of this master thread for a separate but related error:

hello good morning good afternoon, I tried everything I’m currently updating my computer right now so I’m sending this from my iPad, I tried everything apparently I have the windows defender firewall and I allowed all you listed and even repaired my game and nothing has worked, my startup just continued to freeze.

  • Cookiesarejuicy  Then please try the other suggestions in the thread I linked, including the new, local, admin Windows account.

If you're not getting the initialization error anymore, please let me know what happens instead.  But I'd still like to hear whether the new Windows account makes any difference.
