Are your drivers updated ? Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?
What graphics settings are you playing on ? Did you try lowering them ?
Has it been lagging from the beginning or did that evolve over time ? If so, does a new game you start for testing purposes also lag ?
Which Expansions/Stuff/Game Packs do you have installed ?
- ApprovedAnonymous10 years agoHi, no mods or custom content and only the first expansion (work) installed.
Believe it or not it is slow no matter what graphics setting. I had it on high, tried laptop mode, tried lowering to low, tried all. Nothing seems to make a difference.
Seems to lag from installation. Haven't started new game. Will try.
My sims will also lag through an action and be stuck and then after a while like speed through to catch up through the lagged action (if that makes sense).
Thanks! - crinrict10 years agoHero+

Since you have a dual graphics system with an Intel Chip and the Nvidia card, make sure it runs on the card and not the chip: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/graphics-cardintel-chip-dual-systems/

32bit and 64bit sims are set to nvidia
What seems to happen is the time will jump hours, instead of watching the blur of minutes, and sims actions will just happen in bursts. it seems to happen when the game gets "Cluttered" with sims/rooms/etc. graphics are all on low.
