Sims 4 is taking forever to download and is now going in reverse

I pre-ordered the Sims 4 so when it came out on September 2nd I started to download it. It is now September 8th and the game has not fully downloaded and now instead of taking forever to download mor...

How did you solve the problem on the download going backwards? I have the same issue and don't know what to do ☹️
