Are you saying that you still see a lot of savegames?
Not the old ones, just the saves from a test Sim that I made to see of the problem was solved. The old saves are gone.

Your processor is on the weak side but should be able to handle the game.
You however only have 4GB of RAM and since that is shared with the Graphics you will get not enough RAM errors especially if you have Cats & Dogs.
Adding more RAM if possible (check your Manual) will help.
Try setting the game to run in Laptop mode in Game options.
