@Trisquiggles The user data is stored in the user documents folder by default regardless of where the core game files are installed. There is an advanced procedure called symbolic link that can be used to relocate the user data. I do not recommend casual Windows users use these methods as this game is fragile enough without making the game structure more complicated. If your system device is too small for this game I recommend solving the problem by getting a larger system drive now before up grading will get more complicated. I recently had to replace my gaming computer's drive and configuring Windows and installing all the programs was a pain. I still have a minor issue with Sims 3 (some missing DLC) and Tombraider game progress is gone. Curing the problem now will prevent issues with future games.

@roberta591 The issue is that The Sims 4 game folder - the one where you put CC that you download - isn't showing up anywhere on my computer, but I'm still able to play the game just fine. I'd like to find out where this folder is and why, when I put my CC in it, the CC doesn't show up in the game.

@Trisquiggles The user data folder which isn't created until the first time you successfully start the game is created in the user documents folder regardless of where the core game files are located.
Click the folder icon in the bottom tray. Click This PC on the left. Double click Documents. Double click Electronic Arts. Double click The Sims 4.
This is the documants folder for the user you used to log into Windows 10 user. This is where the game will create the game user data regardless of where the core game files are installed.

@roberta591 I went into the C drive User documents but there's no Electronic Arts folder, just another Sims 4 folder with the Installer/Data folders.
