Sims 4 January 16th 2020 Mods causes a black screen, but not script mods.
Something is going on with the newest update from January 16th with mods. I have tried to fix a black screen I get after the game loads and the little loading plumbob goes away. Script mods are not the problem, I've turned it on and off again. I have tried all of the fixes I've seen online, and then I turned mods off in the options in the folder due to not being able to see or click anything once the screen goes black (music still plays by the way). Can Origin/Electronic Arts fix this at all? It's happened one or two other times with previous updates and I have mods I need to use for my games because I usually only use custom content. I have the Vampires and Pets expansion packs, along with the free Holidays pack. Can anyone help? (If you need the DixDiag if it's on this version, I cannot get it in any way I know of because I cannot click anything) Proof of what is happening is included with the files I put on this.
EA does not fix other peoples Mods. It is up to the author to update them and up to you to make sure you have the latest working version.

ove your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
