Then I would contact support and try get a refund for cats & Dogs. As the expansion packs is a DLC, you can't get a refund through the refund page. You need to contact them.

I didn't buy cats and dogs, my friend did but we share an origin account so whatever she gets downloads onto my computer and it works for her computers so I think I just need to get a new laptop or is there anything else I can do to strengthen my laptop?
Account sharing is not allowed and against the TOS. You can't expect support on EA's site if you didn't buy the game.
