Sims 4 Keeps Crashing
Hello all, I am hoping someone can help me. My Sims 4 game keeps crashing. Usually this is after about 2 minutes of gameplay, but sometimes happens sooner. There is no common denominator that I can...
I have the same problem, this is my info
@SCAlves61 The only Sims 4 crash in your dxdiag lists a patch level that's several months old. Please update the game if you haven't already. If it won't update, clear the EA App's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and repair the game: open the App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair.
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know how it runs.
If you get another crash, please let me know when in the process of trying to play, for example on the initial loading screen or when your sims are traveling.
Please also look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash, specifically while playing in the clean user folder. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
