Sims 4 keeps deleting my save games

The sims 4 keeps deleting my save games and it's getting really frustrating.

I have tried using various things to solve this problem like:

- Moving the: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves\slot_00000001.save to the desktop (after shutting down game) and then reload it.

- Repairing the game numerous times

- Renaming the save file

- The Cache folder is also empty, so nothing to delete there

I do have enough space on my computer left and it should run the game perfectly. I'm also not using any mods.

The sims 4 deletes my save games on a daily basis now, so as you can guess I'm really desperate to get this issue fixed.

Info that might be useful:

Operating system: Windows 10

Free space: 465GB

Mods: None, I've never used any mods.

Sims 4 Content: City Living, Get together, Get to Work, Parenthood, Outdoor, Vintage Glamour Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Holiday Celebration Pack.

Is there anything I can do to prevent the game from deleting my save games? ☹️

The only save game I could load, was the one I just created to get the load button back.
But I think I found the issue this time. I created a folder for my sim family within the save folder and the game couldn't recognize them. So, I put the save data out of the custom made folder and it's working again. Now I have a backup file, just in case the game deletes my save games again.

Hi @Qwartana

are you using save or save as ? Do you have one or more files in your saves folder ?

Could you describe in a few more details what happens ? Do you not see multiple saves if you click on the load button ?

The last time i tried Save as, the previous times the game deleted my safe files, i used the save option.
right now i do not have the load option available. When i made a new character again and clicked the load button, only the new character and her save file showed up.
I still have my old save from a day ago (which got deleted in game), it's still in the save folder.

Try placing the Sim into a house then and then go back to the main menu. You should now have your load button back.

See if you can then load the game.
