Sims 4 keeps minimizing itself unexpectedly

Hello! As of a month ago, I started having issues playing Sims. I'm able to load my game up, but after about 20-30 seconds, the game keeps minimizing itself. I maximize the game again from the desktop windows bar and the game will continue to load to the main screen. But after trying to resume my game, it'll minimize itself again and continue to do that as I try to play on. I've tried uninstalling/re-installing sims 4, removing any mods, updating drivers, windows updates, repairing the game and clearing the cache. I'm not sure what else I can do or what is the issue is. I've attached the dxdiag, if someone could please help 🙂

  • @dexxeris  Your dxdiag shows a few crashes of audio software provided by Asus for your laptop.  What sound output are you using when playing (speakers, headphones), and what kind of connection do they use?  Do you still run into the same problem if you use a different audio device?  For example, if you're using the built-in speakers on your Dell monitor, try headphones plugged into your laptop instead.  You should be able to choose the sound output device in Windows settings.

Please also let me know whether this problem occurs if you switch from fullscreen to "windowed fullscreen" (aka borderless) mode in the game's graphics settings.
