Sims 4 lagging even without mods

Yesterday my game began running poorly and lagging while playing, in CAS, and in the menu. I pulled all of my data onto my desktop so that I could have a fresh start and it was still lagging. I first...

    @ManyFrontiersman  That's good to hear.  It's possible that this was a temporary problem with EA servers that has since cleared up.  Let me know if the problem returns or you need any other help.

It appears that my game is perfectly normal again, it's runs smoothly and I have access to the gallery. The EA app is still acting up but at least the problem I care more about seems to be fixed. If I have any problems in the next 24 hours I'll update here.
