Thank you for helping! I'm sorry it took so long for me to figure out the dxdiag. But i finally got it. A couple updates: The search bar at the task bar doesn't work and only shows a white blank screen and doesn't search anything. When I restart my pc, after I login, it shows a black screen. I looked it up and it said to use Windows key+CTRL+SHIFT+B to wake it up and it seemed to work after I used CTRL+ALT+DEL after that. I got to the dxdiag by using Windows key + R. And one more thing, after the screen came back on after restart, a notification popped up about a driver needing updated but I have AVAST Driver Updater that I pay for and it says everything is updated and I have no idea how to find the driver that needs updated.
I'm not sure if any of that is relevant, I just wanted to provide you with as much information as possible. Again, thank you so much! I attached the dxdiag.
@MandaMooHere Don't worry about the delay in replying; it's never a problem.
Please start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean boot, still with the clean Sims 4 folder as mentioned before.

When you've restarted, open the Task Manager (crtl-alt-delete and select the TM), and go through the background process list disabling anything that doesn't absolutely need to be running. For example, Nvidia processes are critical, since that's the graphics driver; Adobe and Corsair software doesn't need to be running. Not all services are disabled during a clean boot, hence the need to go through the list manually.
