Sims 4 Missing Lots on Map, Bugged Build Mode, Unable to use ANY cheats?

I just updated my game and I've had nothing but problem after problem since.

When I placed a house I downloaded from the Community, it doesn't show up on the lot I placed it unless I go into the lot itself however I can't change *ANYTHING* in Build Mode without there being a bug. I try to change the grass but can only click once before it refuses to do anything else and I have to click out and go back again.

I tried to use the design tool on furniture and it will only change to the design I want until I click on something else and it's back to it's original state again.

I've tried exiting the game, re-downloading/re-placing the lot.

Also cheats are not working. I consistently get the "Command failed" or "Unable to execute command" errors and they are the correct cheats. The only ones I have tried are "TestingCheats True" and "Freerealestate". I've tried changing the capitalisation, true to enabled and on just in case with no change.

I do use Mods/CC but I removed the folder before updating the game and I also removed the folder to try and see if it was a corrupt mod with no change. The game was actually working fine what I did notice is that the problems happened after I deleted my old saves and downloaded a new base sim and home from the community.

So thinking something got corrupted I tried to factory reset my game. After a couple of unsuccessful tried I removed "Sims4_Backup" completely from my Documents folder and also made a copy and send it to my hard-drive but I'm still getting the same errors.

This is rather frustrating as the game has factory reset and my library wiped clean.

I'm at a complete loss as to what the problem is.

  • Is this on one lot or on multiple? And is it in one save or multiple? Did you try testing the factory reset game without anything in it?

Multiple lots, either pre-made or custom made. I even made a tiny 1x1 room and deleting lots but the bugs were still happening.

I've tested two saves and both have come up with the same problems, I haven't downloaded anything from the Community again as I honestly don't see the point. If it's happening with Sims/Lots I'm creating it's definitely going to react the same to something I download which is what was happening before I tried factory resetting.

Yes, I have. I deleted the Sims 4 folder from my Documents and the Back-Up from my computer and there's no change.

I even tried adding my mod folders back in, they all loaded up perfectly fine and worked as they should.

Could you try taking out the full The Sims 4 folder, then repairing the game though Origin, see if that helps any?
