Sims 4: New Patch- Game Launch Failure-No Errors-No Crashes

Note: Please do not merge my issue with the wrong topic !! Id hate to have to re-post this again.

Issue: Downloaded the new Sims 4 Patch and the game fails to launch after it asks if TS4 can make changes to hard drive, which of course I click yes. Then I get sent back to the Origin launcher as if nothing happens. Its like an loop back. I don't even see Sims 4 launching in my task manager.

Troubleshooting Performed:

  • PC/Drivers up to date
  • Restarted PC
  • Dropped Mod folder on Desktop
  • Repaired game (with mods out of game)
  • No Errors on PC or Sims 4 for the time/date I tried to launch

PC: ROG gl502vt  with Window Education

    Security: Webroot SecureAnywhere current subscription

    Troubleshooting Edit:

    • Yes re-named the sims 4 folder

    @MsTrEsVaMpy That's something I Don't know at all.

    Do they have some kind of ransomeware protection or other places where you can check if it blocks Origin/Sims from running ?

    After working many nights brooding to myself as to why sims wont launch because nothings changed ..... whats the most obvious I haven't had to do before? I had to right click and run origin with right click run as admin and poof no issues at all...

    Thank you for pointing me towards webroot. Everything is fine on that end but made me think maybe something new between sims and webroot would want to be ran in right click admin.
