SIMS 4 Newcrest - Can't place/build lots, sometimes can't play HELP

I downloaded Newcrest recently and everything was fine. When I decided to start placing lots from the gallery onto Newcrest, all that would happen was me placing them, then the loading screen appearing and loading and then the world management screen would appear! When I click Newcrest and go back to it, the lot is gone.
After that, I realised I can't place ANY lot on ANY neighbourhood and I can't build either! Now not only does that happen but when I want to actually play, I click play, the loading screen appears then the neighbourhood I'm in appears, I click the button on my family's house to play and sometimes it works sometimes it just goes back to the world management screen!
I've restarted my computer many times, I've deleted items in my gallery, I've deleted previous gameplays to no avail. What do I do?! I tried a creating a new game as well, everything was fine so I decided to place a lot and it worked! When I tried to replace that lot with another house all the problems started again.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    I'm having the same issue, the game worked fine yesterday. I'd started building a house, it's actually just fencing, then I came back on today to finish building it, but when I try clicking on build mode it says, it can only be done in world editor. I can go into world editor and design a house, but I don't know what will happen if I want to buy my sims new furniture.

    I've saved my game under a different name in the hope it's preserve my sims and everything I've done, just in case something eles happens.

    I can't even play at all. I click to play my existing family it goes back to loading screen. I tried to play a lot loading screen. So annoying.

    I am having the same problem. It played fine yesterday. I don't even have mods in my game.

    I don't have any mods in mine either, I'm just about to go back on Sims and see if I'm still capable of building. I'm hoping this issue is just a glitch that will be fixed.

    The same thing is happening with me also. I've noticed that if I just restart the game it will fix itself. I have also figured out what lot I think is causing the problem so as long as I don't do anything with it my game will run fine. The link is a screenshot of the lot that is messing up my game.

    As you can see I do have a lot placed there (see price of lot) but the house won't show up and I have no way of entering the lot to bulldoze it.

    Nope, no mods, just the base game and the get to work expansion pack

    Exactly! As soon as I downloaded Newcrest everything went downhill
