@ClandestineSims The Sims 4 base game uses 20 GB, and the game with all packs is around 60. So you definitely have space for the base game, but adding all packs would be pushing it.
How large is this SSD overall, and what else is taking up space? If you have a 128 GB drive, 70 GB free would be reasonable with very little installed, but anything larger should have more free storage. That in turn could mean there's something else taking up a significant amount of space that you could remove.
If you want to investigate, open a File Explorer window, click This PC, double-click C, and look at the sizes of the various folders. For that, right-click a folder and select Properties > General; you'll see the total file size there. If a folder is suspiciously large, open it and check the subfolders until you find the culprit.
As an example, I recently had someone realize that an entire second copy of Sims 4 was installed under Program Files (x86)\Origin Games. The EA App wasn't recognizing that install and was trying to reinstall to Program Files\EA Games, and this person's computer was running out of space as a result.
I'm not suggesting you delete anything, other than maybe an existing unrecognized Sims 4 install, unless you know exactly what it is and that you don't need it. If you're not sure what you're looking at, just let me know what you've found and how large it is.
Windows updates do temporarily use more space, but the overall difference should be very small soon afterwards. Windows does keep extra data on hand should users want to roll back, but only for a week or so; after that, the space should be freed up again.
