Sims 4 not running
I was having the same problem with the CAS demo. I run the game, the wheel turns telling me its thinking, then nothing. No new proccesses running, no nothing.
There are zero crash reports with this issue. It just doesn't load at all (mouse spins, and nothing happens).
I have tried compatibility mode.
I have tried forcing it to windows mode
I have cleaned my registry
I have disabled my firewall
I have removed my anti-virus
I have tried running it from in origin
I have tried a clean install
(and posted my DXdiag here)
@stargrace Please try a Clean Boot, I suspect that it won't work but I'd rather check it out to be sure.
Is your install location the default on the C drive or elsewhere? Again, it shouldn't be a factor, but I just want to gather info.
Have you had any issues with the CAS demo, assuming that you tried it?
Install is default on C drive (also uninstalled and re-instlaled just to be sure) - no issues at all with CAS demo, or any other origin games (Sims 2, Sims 3, Sims medieval, Dragon Age, etc).
Attempted clean boot, no change.
@stargrace Can you try using a different Windows profile to see if that has any effect.

If you launch the game from within Windows, does that help? Try setting Origin to offline then run the ts4.exe from C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
Attempted from 2 new profiles (guest, and guest001) - no change
Attempted from within Windows - no change
Attempted both of these in offline mode and online mode - no change
Mouse curser indicates it's thinking for about 2 seconds, and then no actions are taken.
