Sims 4 Not Starting with CC (PC)

Heeellooooo,

My Sims 4 game will not start when any CC is installed. It comes up with the error

Unable to start:
Cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged. Please try reinstalling the game.

I have tried reinstalling my game, reinstalling Origin, repairing my game, deleting the Electronic Arts folder and restarting the game then put each folder back one by one etc. I have also removed all of my CC and launched the game (it launches with no CC) then putting each bit of CC back in one by one, however when I put one CC file in it comes up with this error, for every piece of CC that I have, so it seems that my game doesn't like any CC rather than that there is a CC that is messing up my game.

All of my CC on my PC worked until recently, I also have the game on my Mac and have the same CC with no problems, it seems to be from the recent update that this has started happening and I can't find any other topics about this happening to anybody else. I can't stand playing with no CC, help! ☹️

When you deleted The Sims 4 folder and then slowly replaced every file, did you replace ALL the files or just the saves folder and the mods? I feel like it might be a corrupt cache issue. Can you try out this and see if it helps at all? I usually clear my Sims 4 cache this way when I have CC issues:

    1. Navigate to Documents > Electronic Arts

    2. Rename The Sims 4 to "The Sims 41"

    3. Start a new game, save, and exit

    4. Navigate back to Documents > Electronic Arts

    5. Open The Sims 41 folder and copy the "saves" folder there

    6. Go back and open The Sims 4 folder (this is a new folder that the new game created)

    7. Delete the saves and mods folder here

    8. Paste the saves folder and mods folder you copied from The Sims 41 here

    9. Launch the game again

It might also be worth a shot to leave the Resource.cfg file behind and start wit ha new one, in case it's a sub-folder issue.
