sims 4 not working december 2023
After the December 5th update, my sims game would open but I would get the sims delivery error, and the sim on the "resume" option would be a blank white silhouette. Even though I have updated all of my mods, mods are automatically disabled in my game and I am not able to turn them back on. I have removed them from the game for now. When clicking on any of my saves, the seasons screen would show up and ask me to pick a season. Then an error code would pop up saying "The game failed to save. Please exit to the Main Menu and then click play to reload the game. Error code: 22."
I then repaired the game on the EA app twice, removed the localthumbcache.package file, safe-booted my PC (which then the Sims game gave me an error "Sims is already running" when its not popping up at task manager at all.) I repaired the game twice again and restarted my PC about 5 times during the process of me trying to find the right solution, and now I have an error "unable to start: initialization error at start up. [135dec40:29f00e76:00000084:18a1dd51]." I have also tried looking for the protection history on windows 10 but I cannot locate it, it doesn't exist in my windows security. I have also deleted all the %temp% files. I have suspected that a new VPN (Mullvad VPN) my brother helped me download that same day is contributing to the error, however I had already uninstalled the VPN before I tried all of these solutions.
Please help, I don't know what else to do and I really want to play the new pack once I am done with finals.

Specifically, try resetting permissions for Documents, then moving the location of Documents if that doesn't help. You can move it to another location on C if you want; it doesn't need to be on a different drive. If OneDrive isn't involved here, try this approach rather than using the Registry method:
