Sims 4 Blast from the Past is completely broken after exiting without saving

Question

So I was playing week three of the event, and I completed the step where you use the computer to make the time machine and it breaks the computer, and i was on a community lot and it wouldn't let me repair it, so I made the stupid choice to exit without saving, and when i got back, it said the step was completed, but i had no time machine, or way to get one, at least to my knowledge. I really hope that I can come back from this because the event items are really cool and I'd hate to miss out on this. Thank you.

Simmer12341&nbsp; I have completed week 3.&nbsp; You do not actually get a "time machine".&nbsp; You only need to repair or replace a computer.&nbsp; I don't think it matters where or who owns it.&nbsp; &nbsp; You can put a laptop in the rain and it will break, then replace or repair.&nbsp; I recall that Searching the sims 4 archives on the computer did come up after the repair, but I could be incorrect.&nbsp; I also noticed a time lapse between the 1st and 2nd half of this weeks event.&nbsp;&nbsp;
