Sims 4 Paranormal career disappearing and gigs not ending

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions, all game packs except Journey to Batuu, Spooky, vintage glamour, laundry day, moschino, tiny living and paranormal
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? when selecting a gig for the Paranormal investigator career, after choosing which gig the career tab instantly turns to say the sim no longer has a job. I have also tried to see if mods are the reason and have loaded the game with no mods and it still does the same. I have also made sure the game is up to date.
What happens when the bug occurs? Later on the notification will appear that the gig starts in an hour. Then if the sim attends the gig and completes it, even if all the tasks have been done and the timer has reached zero, the gig does not finish, all the specters are gone but the gig does not end and the sim is stuck there.
What do you expect to see? I can successfully sign my sim up to be a paranormal investigator and select a gig and they can go to the gig and finish it and return home without getting stuck or have the career tab say they do not have a job
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Please describe the patch or change you made. I downloaded the new Paranormal stuff pack, everything else works wonderfully, except the career

The rest of the Paranormal stuff pack works perfectly fine, yet whenever I sign my sim up for the Paranormal Investigator career and select a gig, the career tab instantly turns to say the sim has no job. Yet, later on after selecting a gig (and the career tab still says the sim has no job) a notification pops up to say the gig is starting in an hour. as normal the sim travels to the gig and the tasks can be completed, yet once all the tasks have been completed and the timer for the gig runs out, the sim cannot leave, the timer is stuck flashing red to say the gig has ended but the sim is not paid, and cannot click to return home either.
