Sims 4 PC "Bust the Dust" Vacuums only have 'Empty' Option

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.71.86.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Download the Bust The Dust Kit and try to vacuum.
What happens when the bug occurs? There is no option to vacuum, only to empty the vacuum. I have my sim empty the vacuum but nothing changes.
What do you expect to see? I place a vacuum. I put the vacuum into the Sims inventory. When I click on the floor there is no option to vacuum (there was before). If the vacuum is on the floor there is only the option to empty it. Once emptied nothing changes. The dust bunnies are taking over the world.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The dust bunnies are taking over!

I bought the 'Bust the Dust' Kit recently to live vicariously through my Sims (I don't love cleaning). It started off well and they were vacuuming up a storm but now... they aren't.

I place a vacuum in my Sim's house or put the vacuum into the Sims inventory. When I click on the floor there is no option to vacuum (there was before). If the vacuum is on the floor there is only the option to empty it. Once my sim has emptied the vacuum (that was brand new so shouldn't really be full of dust) nothing changes. I've tried having my Sim empty the vacuum again but alas that is the only option.

Now my Sims are destined to live in dusty homes and empty broken vacuums for all of eternity. 

Is anyone else having the same problem or know of a fix?

    I believe I also have this issue and I dont have any mods or cc just a good chunk of dlc.

    HI @Axelle_Redpaw 

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    This actually fixed it enough for me to play the dlc! Thank you! All i did was backup and one by one moved my save folder and tray folder as i don't have any cc or mods and that's seems to have resolved it.hand vacuumes don't seem to work still but at least i can play the dlc now!
