Sims 4 Pets Problem

Just bought the Sims 4 Pets two days ago and I played for a little while and everything was fine after CAS and putting the sim and dog into the house on the new neighborhood. And then it wouldn't let me save, saying an error of some sort. AND THEN when I go to play other saved games to add a pet, during gameplay it doesn't load the sims icons and such. Buy mode works perfectly fine. I am so frustrated. I tried old saves and everything.

Hi, do you have any custom content or mods, as this problem is usually caused by 'broken / non updated' cc or mods.
If you do; you have to remove all cc and mods (or sub folders, which are a better way of organising them) then test your game without it.
If the game then works, add the cc / mods back into your game one folder at a time and loading / testing your game (some people refer to a 50/50 method, ie: half your cc at a time to remove.. but depending on how much cc there is: I prefer folder by folder).
This way, you'll find the broken cc, keep it removed and / or find the updated edition.
Apologies if you don't use any cc or mods, but thought I'd mention it just in case.
Since you bought it two days ago, perhaps you don't have any so:
1: Before starting your game, if you notice the little 'wrench' under the 'play' button (on Origin not 'in game') you can try right clicking that then 'repair game'.

I should know better by now to post out of frustration rather than searching for a solution first. Lol

It's totally my mods thanks to the new update. For anyone in particular that uses WW, it's totally that one lol

You're welcome! @waiting4hogwarts Cats and Dogs was a huge update, so that's fine, 🙂 SimsVIP have also made a huge post on broken CC and Mods.. so it's also worth checking there also just in case, as it might be useful. 🤔
