sims 4 save files

Im writing this as of November 10th, 2024. I was playing sims when I noticed all of the houses as well as households (but the one I'm playing) no longer have their CC. all of my households are "naked" as well as their houses no longer having their original items. I figured all I would have to do is just recover a save folder from one of the saves that has all of my households in their clothing as well as their houses in tact. and that is when i discovered i am only seeing "11/10/24" recover folders. all of which have my issue. so i move onto the next possible solution, the saved files in my game files and again...am only seeing todays (10/11) files. where are the rest of my files? I played every Reaper Rewards event as well as saved them all. I should see every October file up to the 31st and I do not. just today, 11/10/24. Im trying to go into an October 20th-30th save file and all of them are missing. how is this possible if I've constantly saved?! how will I recover all my households clothing and Houses? I honestly would rather stop playing sims all together than to redo hours of hard work and progress. Does anyone know how to help me recover those missing saves? please :,)

  • @aab2305fde9a290c  In case you're not already aware, when you use "save" (not "save as"), the game creates a new save file and demotes the previous one to a backup.  It only keeps the five most recent backups, deleting the oldest the next time you save and demoting the rest.  So if you routinely use "save" and never create new save slots, you would only ever have files from the six most recent times you saved: one main save and five backups.

IS this what you're seeing?  Or are you missing some backups too?  Is OneDrive running on this computer?  Even if you never use it, OneDrive can mess with your saves and other user data.
