Sims 4 saved game got DELETED after updating Origin

Hi all, I just updated Origin a while ago, it updated Sims 4 in the process too and when I opened it my saved game was gone! I looked at my Sims 4 folder and there was nothing on it too. Please ...

Do you have any software like OneDrive running that might be copying the files to a different location?

I went to play my game tonight after updating origin and all my Sims data is gone. My saves folder is empty, families and houses I download from the exchange are gone. The game is making me start brand new like the first time I played it. I have no mods. I had this family from day 1. I really don't want to start a new one.... Please tell me there is a solid. Why would an update do this??

  just making sure that this is about Sims 4 ? As the Exchange is for Sims 3.
  
  Are you using oneDrive ? If so, did you check if you have a folder there ?
  
  Do you mean the local saves folder on your drive is empty or in game ?

    Sorry, yes it is sims 4. I meant the gallery., not the exchange.
    
    I do not use one drive, and it is the local saves folder is empty. It's as if the game was reinstalled and overwrote all of the data on my drive.
