Sims 4 saves not transferring

I transferred my friends game from her computer to my computer following another discussion on this forum. It involved moving the save, and tray folders from her computer to a thumb drive and copying it to my computer. Everything worked fine and she has made progress on my computer but wants to now move that progress back to her original computer. I followed the same steps moving it over to mine but for some reason it wont work trying to move it back. I did realize her progress was being saved on Microsoft one drive and wonder if it has something to do with that. I did attempt to turn off one drive and play the game to get a local save and that didn't work. I also tried to copy the files off of the one drive and that didn't work as well. Any help would be much appreciated
