Sims 4 Sims Will Not Complete Actions

Every time I play sims 4, My sims will not complete an action. They'll Walk around and watch tv but anything that has to do with multitasking like being on the computer, cooking, or taking out the garbage: they will not do it. This has been going on for about 3 days now ever since i updated the sims 4 game. And sometimes my sim will just stand there and keep resetting every time i give her a action to do but she will get the emotions like she has completed the action. for example ill tell her to make some food; she'll get the trait or emotion that the food was good or bad but she'll still be standing in the same spot not moving just resetting. Please help, i hate not being able to play sims. Thank you.
