Sims 4 slow after recent update

After the last update the game is slow and very laggy. It is impossible to play. How to fix it, please?

    @xesmo  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know how it runs.

    If the game still lags, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

It did not help but made it worse. Now the game does not load at all. After I removed EA folder from Documents, the game was ok, but it was a new one. After I put my old folder back to documents the game does not load. First it showed that I require packs which I owe and used. And after restart it is loading forever and does not open my previously saved game. 

I wish I did not listen to your advice....

    @xesmo  The point was not to put the old Sims 4 folder back, it was to see how the game ran with a new folder in place and go from there.  Please move your old Sims 4 folder out again, make sure the game still works, and then copy one save, but nothing else, from the old folder to the new one.  Let me know how that save runs.

      Yes, it finally helped. I moved the last save from the old folder into a new one and it works now.
