Sims 4 stuck in offline mode

After the most recent update (about 3 days ago), my Sims 4 became stuck in offline mode. I know it's not a connectivity issue because my Origin is online and I am connected to wifi while this problem is happening. I have tried all the basic fixes (repairing game, clearing cache, clearing IP cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my PC, disconnecting and reconnecting to wifi, restoring in-game settings, running both Origin and Sims 4 as admin). I have spoken to 3 EA HELP professionals and followed their steps to fix the issue but none of them have worked, and have been told to post the problem here so that the community manager can look into it.
