Same, but my case is a little worse. I have no stuff packs at all or expansions. All I have is custom content with the custom content cleaner. I created a new sim and everything stopped working. Now I can't go into town. All I can do is create sims. I'm really mad and upset because I spent my 40 dollars on it. It's also my favorite game. Anyone who can help or knows what to do, please message me how I can fix this...
I sort of have the same problem as you except I can play the game without cc. However if I put my cc in the packages folder, then attempt to load up game it just freezes on the sims 4 with white background. I don't know what to do. This has happened ever since the new update on the sims. If anyone knows how to fix this please help us. (also it wouldn't let me write my own comment so I had to reply to yours, sorry.)
My game is stuck on the loading screen and i can't even get to the main page. i have taken all of my cc and mods out, and i have hundreds of GB left on my computer... Can someone please fix this as I can't access the game!

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
The same thing has been happing with me I took my cc out and it works just fine. I check all my cc nothing messes with my game but then when I put my cc back in my game it loads then it freezing on a white screen with some words.
