Sims 4 Technical Issues

I'm encountering two issues (bugs) while playing Sims 4 that are really frustrating:

 1. I'm unable to change between household members while playing. The game freezes on one household and I can't switch to another member until I stop and restart the game.

 2. I'm unable to save the game due to an error that keeps popping up. As a result, I've lost my progress several times. I've tried multiple solutions, but the issue remains unresolved.

 Note: I don't have any custom content (CC) or mods. I would really appreciate some help in fixing these two frustrating problems.
