sims 4 update broke game
okay so ive not been on my sims 4 for a few months and it was working perfectly fine, now ive just had it updated to the latest version but when I get to the main screen theres no words on the button...

That's definitely not looking right. Have you by any chance tried a Sims 4 factory reset?
Here's a how-to:
Sims 4 Factory Reset -
Rename your Sims 4 folder to Sims 4_Backup. The game will create a new folder next time you play. - Renaming it or moving it to the desktop will help you have a backup and keep your Sims 4 files safe.
Repair the Sims 4 game. In Origin > Game Library - right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair. - To make sure the install files and such are in working order.
Try launching the game, play a new save. If it's not working, don't save. However, if everything is playing okay then start putting the files back. (list of files and folders below).
- Options.ini (User game settings)
- Tray Folder (Sims/Houses/Commercial lots and rooms)
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games, if any.
(leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave. It is not used anymore.)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, and makeup
- Mods (Put these back one by one to make sure they all still work)

If you move or rename the Sims 4 folder, the game will no longer be able to find it. When you go to play the game it will create a new folder.
okay so I changed the language and changed it back to us English which seems to have solved the blank bubble issues , now my games cant save I get error codes.

What are the error codes you are getting? Knowing this information will help us search on those error codes.
- error code was 403:8e5010b7:1d172885. but it has now seemed to save for some reason after checking again , now my problem is I did own a business but it says I don't own one now on the owned businesses tab but if you hover over the business it has my house hold name saying I do and I can control the staff and funds also like I own the building. thankyou for the help
This error seems to be caused by outdated mods. But you mentioned not having mods.
Try clearing the game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.
