Sims 4 Update Fail

I have installed it and got to the stage of going to play the game. When I opened it it said I had to install an update. The update gets to 100% and then it says "finalizing update" a second or two after this it pauses itself and a little box pops up saying update failed.

I have tried everything I can possiblt rhink of and it just wont work!

The same thing happens when I try to do a repair. As soon as it is at 100% it fails!

    This worked! Thank you!

    For anyone reading. Log off to completely close any sims applications & downloads open. Then when you log back on just open origins and try the update again.

    When I took this advice it worked.
