EA App requests update for Sims 4. Despite updating repeatedly, restarting, reinstalling, running as admin, and repairing. Still asks for update and will now let me play the game.
I found a fix!
In the EA app, go to the three lines in the top left corner and press offline mode. After going into offline mode, go back into online mode and then update. That fixed it.
How do you fix the update loop so I can play the game .. as I am unable too currently because of the update which won’t ‘ update ‘ 🤔

and restart your computer.
If that doesn't help, try forcing the App to update. Open this location:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EADesktop
And run the EAUpdater. Once it's done, restart again and see whether the Sims 4 update goes through.
