I was having the same issue. Here's what I did:
1. Removed my script mods
2. Restarted ny computer
3. Attempted the update again (it worked)
4. Added updated script mods back in
I hope this helps.
I finally got it. Had to uninstall and start from scratch. I put mod folder on desktop and put back after reinstalled. Now things like MC Command don't work, it shows up but when clicking on it game pauses and nothing happens. So frustrating. This is on my wife's computer and her game.
My game on my computer downloaded no problem but when I try to log into one of my sims it goes to the world screen. Even if I try to resume game it goes to world screen. This is the most trouble we've had playing since we started.

@Salem_Ray Lots of mods are broken after this patch. Here's a partial list:

You will need to update the MC Command Center mod, it is already updated on CurseForge, so an updated version should be available through whichever avenue you have downloaded it.
Any other mods you have downloaded will likely need updated as well.
If you go to the creator site and they have not posted an update, it will likely be best to remove that mod until the updated version is available.
Hope this helps!!
