Sims 4 update won't download?!

I tried to update my sims 4 game and whenever it actually gets somewhere it restarts from the beginning. It's just never-ending. I've been trying for about two days now. I've tried restarting my laptop so many times and even pausing the download doesn't work, cancelling it doesn't either, it just continuously tries to donload but it says there is 0 network speed most of the time (I'm not sure what that means) and sometimes even when there is some network speed it just does nothing. It usually stops around the point when it says there are about 3 minutes left and does absolutely nothing after that. And i bought the game pack, it was on the update list and now its not, so I don't know whether that's gone for good..  Is there a way to fix it? 🙂
