Sims 4 Uploading to Onedrive

I just wonder why cant the scratch folder not be elsewhere on the local drive - outside the onedrive folder which obviously syncs. The most logic route would be the local install folder of the game I would suggest. Futhermore... using the syncing drive as a scratch location only cause lags and performance loss as the scratches sync and deletes all the time. No wonder the game is unstable!

  • @Therealpcsurgeon  All the user files are in Documents, and the scratch folder is no exception.  This is data that will eventually become a save (or not), also stored in the user folder.

While it might be convenient to have the user files elsewhere, the answer is definitely not to store them in the game's program files.  Aside from potential permissions issues and false flags from security software, it's best not to modify the program files at all, or add to the folder that contains them, to avoid the potential of corrupting those files.  It's much easier to remove the user folder, or some files within it, for testing than it is to uninstall and reinstall the entire game.
