Sims 4 will not load or open

I am having the same problem too. What is up with this?

my game won't load, what's wrong with origin or ea?

im having the same problem and im getting real tired of both EA and Origins

I also preordered the Digital Deluxe Edition PC Download and at 11 PM cst last night the game actually loaded I was making a family as well as downloading some community  items from the ingame library tab.  I fell asleep and woke up and the game was froozen saying i wasn't connected and did I want to reconnect.  Of course I said yes but it stopped responding.  That was this morning.  I have been trying to get the game to work ever since then.  It will load up until the loading screen.. load for about 45 seconds then stop.  the music stops after the firsst track has finished and it stops responding.  i've ran as an admin, compatibailty mode, restarted, repaired it through orgin.  and it still is not working.  That game was $75 and some change and I only get a good 2 hours out of it and I can't play any longer?  This is ridicilous.😕mileymad:

I am also having the same problem and I would really like to get it fixed.

same here, and the lady who helped me on chat told me to update my java plug in and then disconnected before seeing if my problem was resolved.

i payed a whole lot of money for this game and i expect to be able to play it.

all of the specs on my laptop are up to date and are compatable with the game, but i get an error message whenever i try to play it.

im very disappointed in EA's customer service.

I have the same problem on one of my PC's.  I loaded the game last night nd played it, again I played it today right up until dinner time it worked fine.  After dinner suddenly it shuts down on every attempt to restart the game, I have deleted the game and reloaded but it will not run!

Heya everyone,

We are looking into these reports. There are a variety of symptoms and potential causes, so please bear with us while we try listing some steps that might help.

1. Ensure that Antivirus or security software is not blocking the launch of the game
2. Run a Repair of the game client. To do this, right-click the game panel in Origin and choose the Repair option.
3. Make sure that you run Origin and the game as administrator
4. Check that you do not have any programs running that my cause conflict with Origin
5. If that still does not help, please run a Clean Boot as this will help with stopping any other programs from interfering
6. Update your drivers 

A few players are also experiencing this specific issue here:  

• "Invalid License.  Reason code = Missing DLL: [msvcp120.dll] Error: 0x7E" => Install vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft. [Instructions in spoiler]

If you are still experiencing any issues afterwards, please confirm that you have tried the steps above already and add as much information as possible in regards to what exactly happens on your screen after you click on "Play" in Origin.
