Sims 4 wont download

@Callmekelle  Try using your phone as a mobile hotspot.  Make sure it's using data, not your home wifi.  I realize that this would be a massive download for a phone connection, but the point is not to download Sims 4 in its entirety, it's to see whether the download speed is better.  You can cancel as soon as you find out.

If the download speed is better using the hotspot, try powercycling your router.  It's also possible that you'd need to open ports on the router, but that's a more technical endeavor that you'd want to talk to your ISP about before trying.

If the download speed is equally bad using the phone hotspot, please uninstall McAfee using its own product removal tool.  Here's how:

Uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), download a fresh copy of the App installer, and run it.

Create a new folder on the root level of C, for example C:\Games, and choose that as the install location for Sims 4, then see if the download speed has improved.  Don't reinstall McAfee until you've tested either way.  As long as you're not doing anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.
