I just bought Sims 4 2 days ago and im experiencing the same problem. Im using a MacBook Air so im not sure if thats the problem or not. 😠
Open your option menu in game. Yes - the three little dots. From there, you want to click on Game Options, and then Other. Check if you have everything checked for online , if yes than just click on reset to default, exit the menu and try to get online, it has worked for me , so I hope that will help you . Cheers !

Could not connect to Gallery for about an hour yesterday, and today I can't get a connection AGAIN.
i went to origins setting menu, and turned OFF
origins in game,, it works now great, with that turned offHow did you turn it off, mines won't let me take the check ✔ from box
@RoordaS How did you turn that off. Mines won't allow me to although Im not in restricted access mode.
@Neesh911 Hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and you should see the option to disable it. Additionally, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties, and uncheck the box for Origin in-game. Occasionally, it's necessary to disable both settings.
If this doesn't solve your problem, please start a new thread describing what's happening, and what steps you've taken to try to troubleshoot so far. This thread is a few years old already.
