Sims 4 won't launch after free DLC

hi hey hello

so i am very much aware i am not the first/only person that's having issues, but i am new here and couldn't find a thread that helped yet.
after dowloading epic games and downlaoding the free dlc on ea through the "manage addons" part, i now cannot launch the sims 4. if i try through the ea app, it opens epic and just loads forever and ever. if i try through epic, it says to wait while the game launches through the partner (or something), and then same thing: it loads forever and ever.
i tried removing the ea folder from my documents, tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, i even tried opening it without epic and it showed me that i needed epic to launch it.
i may be overreacting but i am kinda upset because the sims 4 is a comfort game. 

if anyone can help, i would be eternally grateful.

    @elleyeo  Please uninstall Sims 4, the EA App, and the Epic launcher with Revo Uninstaller.  Start with Sims 4:

    • Put aside your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and rename it to something that doesn't include the words "Sims 4."
    • Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
    • Launch Revo, select Sims 4 from the list, and click Uninstall.
    • Once the game is uninstalled, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
    • Review the list, in case there's something you want to save; otherwise, click Select All, and then Delete.
    • Close Revo, and restart your computer.

    Uninstall the EA App and the Epic launcher with Revo as well.  I don't have instructions for those at the moment, but the process should be straightforward.  Restart again when you're done.

    Install the EA App, then create a new folder into which you'll install Sims 4.  The folder should be on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.  You probably don't need to install the Epic launcher at all, so please skip that unless Sims 4 won't open.

    @puzzlezaddict so i downloaded revo bit i dont see the sims 4 there/cant search it and i cant see "moderate" anywhere?? qwq

    aight i did all that and its still not working. thinking the free dlc oficially broke my game, ill just email support and hope for the best.

    @elleyeo  Did you reinstall Sims 4 through the EA App or Epic?  If you used the EA App, try uninstalling again and reinstalling through Epic instead.

    I have this problem too and i found one solution but it doesn't work everytime maybe you can try this: First; you should open ea games and epic games then sign off from ea games app and start the game through epic games. Like i said; it doesn't work always but i did this two times and i managed to play the game
