Sims 4 won't launch after installing mods

Unable to start:
Cannot start because the required game data is missing or damaged. Please try reinstalling the game.
[85262c58:29f00e76:00000000]

I get the error after installing mods/custom content and I follow instructions only putting .package files only but when i do put them in the mods folder and try loading the game i get that error and then when i delete all the mods and reinstall sims 4 it works. so can i not have custom content/mods?

     I'm sorry but I have the same problem and don't you think that would take AGES? I have 1200+ cc items and there's no way that I can go through ALL of my CC.

    I have been playing sims 4 for years with mods now and my game wont launch and im so upset can anybody answer!!!!!!

    when I try to start my game it won't start up at all nothing will pop up but if take the mods out to would work

    i can start up my game all normal up untill my game gets stuck on the SIMS 4 page. i left my computer on all night hopping it was just taking a while to load, nope same screan 18 hours later. HELP PLEASE. I DONT KNOW IF I CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT MODS AND ALPHA. thank you.
