My Sims 4 isn't launching after the Nov. 10 update. I've tried uninstall/reinstalling both the game and Origin, deleted all content, cleared the cache for origin, restarted, restored computer.... still nothing.
I'm not getting any sort of message or error code. I click on play and it sort of "blinks" like it's going to open Sims 4, and then goes back to the launch page.

I got mine to work.
Here's what I did for Windows 10:
Open the Task-Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar and choosing 'Task-Manager' from the menu.
In the processes tab filter by name and stop anything called 'Origin' by right-clicking on it and choosing 'stop task'.
Then look for 'Origin' in your search bar located on your taskbar.
Right-click on the entry 'Origin App' and choose 'Run as admin'.
Now navigate in the Origin app to the game and open it.
Windows User Account Control will ask you to approve the game to make changes to the computer.
Choose 'yes' and the game will start up again.
I guess Window UAC was not satisfied with Origin apps permission without admin privs.

@embersshadow I had to stop at least 3 origin tasks, did you stop everything called something with origin in the Task-Manager?
Also, do you know where you've installed the game?
For me it's in this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
This should be the location of an application called TS4_x64.
Right-click the app and choose 'run as admin' and approve of all prompts opened by Windows UAC.

Hi! I had this issue too. I seems that I kinda fixed it now.
Try this, but I'm not sure this will work for you, too:
1. Exit Origin
2. Run Origin as administrator
3. Run the Sims4_64.exe as administrator, do NOT click the Play Button in Origin

I spent a fair amount of time with EA agent chatting and trying fixes. Ultimately they weren't able to fix it, but they said experts are aware that multiple people are having the issue and are working to fix it, which should be released in a further update, from what I understand.
@embersshadow and @Hazelyn74 If you'd like to troubleshoot in the meantime, rather than waiting for EA to figure out a fix, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
