sims 4 wont launch from origin

I've been trying to launch the sims 4 from origin and its not working. I have origin in-game disabled, i tried running it in both 64 and 32 bit, but nothing works. Whenever i click the play button on origin, origin just minimizes itself and the button is unclickable for a couple of seconds before becoming clickable again and nothing launches. I've checked task manager to see if it does even for a second, and it doesn't. Any advice?

processor: amd a8-3820 apu with radeon hd graphics 2.50 ghz

ram: 16.0 gb

all of which is in an hp pavillion. thanks for any help!
