@emma_g345 To run a dxdiag, click the Windows key and R at the same time. In the run box that appears in the lower-left corner of the screen, enter dxdiag . Wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply in this thread. Make sure to use "Reply" and not "Quick Reply," and click the Browse button next to the paper clip icon below the text field.

@emma_g345 Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine). Restart your computer, reinstall the App, and try again to play.
If that doesn't help, do you now have a Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts? If so, please force the game to launch in windowed mode: open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero). If you don't currently have a Sims 4 user folder, you can put your old one back, temporarily, and edit its copy of Options.ini, but please let me know whether you need to do this.
To figure out what antivirus you have, open Windows Settings > Security, and you should see it listed there.
