Sims 4 Wont Launch
Installed Sims 4 on a computer that is perfectly capable of running it. Every time I click play. The EA app disappears, the screen goes black and then its right back to desktop with the EA app right ...
@WitchWithTude14 Your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims 4-related issues, just a number of generic Windows update errors. It's a good idea to clean those up, so please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Try again to play, and if you can't, please let me know what antivirus you use and whether OneDrive is running on this computer. Please also look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to launch Sims 4, specifically after you've done the steps I listed. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
@samwis0806 Are you having the same issue or a different one? If you're getting an error at any point, please post a screenshot.
for me it said error elevated permissions are required to run DISM
@IVXXVIZ You need to choose the version of PowerShell or Windows Terminal with (Administrator) in the name. There are two versions.
I'm having the same problem. I restarted with a new folder and no mods. The game closes immediately after starting. Most of the time it doesn't even get to the main menu. I've done those steps too, and it didn't work. Here's my dxdiag.
