Sims 4 won't load when connected to Internet
I'm at a roadblock so I hope I could find a fix here. I'm currently having trouble loading the game, as it's stuck on an infinite loading screen and I'm not able to access the main menu at all. (I left it to load for half an hour and it's still stuck). I thought it might be outdated mods so I cleared my entire mods folder and the same issue persists.
I tried making a backup file of The Sims 4 folder in case it's outdated or something, but no. Still stuck on an infinite loading screen. Tried fixing the app, and reinstalling both the EA launcher and the Sims 4 and it still doesn't work. I only have Windows Defender so I ticked the game and launcher to bypass the firewall and still a problem. Tried restarting my PC, and nothing changed. The only way I can finish loading and finally get to the main menu is to play the game offline. I don't think its my connection either, as I'm connected via LAN. I could play the game offline, but I need to access my gallery for my lots and households.
It could be an issue with my connection, or the game is having issue loading up the gallery maybe? Not sure.
TLDR; If I play the game online, I'm stuck on an infinite loading screen— but if I play the game offline, the game loads up pretty quickly.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
@NobodyYooo Does this happen if you put the EA App in offline mode before launching Sims 4? You can also open the game offline and disable all the online connection-related features in Options > Game Options > Other, then try playing while online again.
