I have been using the Sims 4 fine until the latest update (as of writing this) and now all I can do is open it. When it opens, the Maxis icon shows, the Sims icon, and then it freezes for a minute. It minimizes itself and when I maximize it again, it's a blank screen and I can't even close it. Usually when it opens there's some kind of music but this time it isn't. Can somebody help me with this?

are you using any custom content or mods in your game ?
If so, could be that some of them aren't compatible with the game anymore and need removing. If you do, check with the creators or use the 50/50 method:http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content
