Sims 4 Won't Open

Origin won't help me so I guess I'll try here... Ever since November 11th, I have been unable to open the game. I did EVERYTHING suggested online. I repaired the game multiple times, I uninstalled T...

@Taaraa97  If you still have the Sims 4 user folder somewhere (the one that was originally in Documents\Electronic Arts), you'll be able to restore your old saves and other content, that is, once the game starts working again.  But it's better to get the game working first and then worry about your saves.

You've tried most of the steps listed in the first post of this thread:

But please try the others, particularly disabling your antivirus completely.  It's often not enough to only set exceptions for Origin and the game.

If the other steps don't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Thank you for the response! I dug through the post mentioned below to the responses from @GasolineCrea who is using the same AV as me. That one setting! Weird how I wasn't having that issue for ages, and a little annoying, but thanks to both of you the game is working again.

I don't have any of my earlier folders and I'm pretty sure they're unrecoverable, but I don't mind not having any of my saves, as long as I can play!

Thanks to you both for being so much more helpful than Origin and getting my game going again!
